The span will close at 9:30am and also will close Centerville Turnpike between Butts Station and Mount Pleasant roads.The road and the bridge are expected to reopen about 3:30pm or earlier if the work is completed befor then.
Drivers can use the Cheaspeake Expressway or Kempsville Road as alternate routes.
