Newport News Woman Dies In Crash

Jennifer Leigh McIntire, 28, was driving her Chevy Colbalt when she attempted to pass a HRT bus across double yellow lines hitting head on into a black Honda Odyessy at the 100 block of Saunders Road. Jennifer died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the other car was injured and taken to the hospital. The HRT bus had 5 passengers on board, but thankfully none of the passengers were injured. Another accident at this same location happened in November of last year. Brennan Francis Russell, 23-years-old, was taken to the hospital after the accident where he died due to his injuries. All of us are careless in life at one time or another. My daughter is about to start driving and I could never imagine this type of loss. Incidents, like Jennifer, remind me of the importance of driver safety, so just remember to drive the speed limit and be patient you will reach point B in time.
