Norfolk Man Charged With DUI & Hit-and-Run After Serious Crash

A Norfolk man has been charged with felony hit-and-run personal injury and DUI after striking a utility pole and fleeing the accident scene this month, according to the Hampton Roads news website.  The Norfolk car accident occurred on East Ocean View Avenue when 27-year-old driver Dustin Wayne Turner lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the utility pole, injuring all three occupants of the car.  While Turner and another passenger suffered only minor injuries in the Norfolk wreck, the third passenger required transportation to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for life-threatening injuries.  Speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, and Turner was arrested near the accident scene, which he fled on foot.
