Subdural Hematoma & Other Brain Injuries in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, & VA

Among the types of brain injuries suffered by traumatic brain injury victims are subdural hematomas.  A subdural hematoma (SDH) is a collection of blood inside the skull, specifically underneath the dura, or outer layer of the skull.  In other words, the collection of blood is located between the middle and outermost layers of the skull, most often caused by damage to the brain itself, a vein, or tissue within the dura.  A subdural hematoma may result from an auto accident, a fall, or, in the case of children, shaken baby syndrome.  The most common incidents of subdural hematomas occur in the elderly, often in the case of a fall, but any traumatic brain injury victim may suffer a subdural hematoma.  With the consequences of subdural hematoma ranging from mild to severe, some victims of this type of brain injury may suffer only temporary symptoms while other suffer fatal injuries, depending on the degree and type of brain injury that occurs.

No matter what type of head injury you or a loved one has suffered, seek medical attention immediately.  Whether you or a loved one has suffered a subdural hematoma, a concussion, brain damage, or another type of traumatic brain injury, you may be able to file a legal claim for financial compensation, as long as another party was responsible for the injuries.  For more information on Virginia brain injuries and legal brain injury claims in Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads, Newport News, Norfolk, Eastern Shore, Portsmouth, and other parts of the state, request your free copy of attorney Lawrence Land's newest book or contact him toll-free at 800-800-1911.  Land will answer your questions for free regarding your unique situation and help you recover compensation for medical bills and other expenses.
