Toddler Left in Van at Day Care, Parents File Wrongful Death Suit

The parents of a two-and-one-half year old toddler have filed a lawsuit against the owners of a children's learning center in connection with the tragic loss of the toddler, according to the Palm Beach Post .  Haile Brockington reportedly died August 5 after employees at Katie's Kids Learning Center left her in one of the center's vans.  The mourning family's attorney explained to the Post that there were clear actions that should have been taken to avoid such tragic loss, such as hiring and training the appropriate employees and personnel and establishing necessary policies and procedures.  Not only does the suit claim that the day care center is negligent for leaving the child in the vehicle (a failure to exercise a standard duty of care), but it also claims that drivers of the van had forged Haile's mother's name in the transportation log.

There is nothing more tragic than the wrongful death of a child, and Virginia fatal accident attorney Lawrence Land expresses his deepest sympathies to you if you have experienced such an indescribable loss.  When children suffer wrongful death as the result of brain injuries , medical errors , car accidents , or other incidents involving negligence, compensation may be available to help surviving family members financially so they can focus on healing emotionally.  If you would like more information on Virginia fatal accidents, feel free to contact Norfolk wrongful death lawyer Lawrence Land online or at 800-800-1911, and he will answer your questions for free at no obligation to you.
