This morning Cory James Dyer, 21, was struck by a 2002 Suburban on Pacific Avenue, according to the Virginian Pilot Online. The young man was transported to the hospital, where he died one hour later from his injuries. The driver of the Suburban was charged with failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn. The Police Department’s Fatal Crash team is still investigating the accident. This such a tragedy that a young man that was just doing his job is no longer with us.
