How does Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites effect my case?

 

A: Social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, are becoming even more popular as more and more people discover its purpose: to connect with old friends and new friends around the world. Even though, Facebook and Twitter allow people set their own privacy settings this does not mean that everything remains private. Pictures, Conversations, Videos are still accessible by viewers on other individual's pages or if you are connected to a network.

Positive Effect:

1. None- It is best to stay off all social networks

Negative Effect:

1. Everything from pictures, friends, videos, ect. can be turned against you
   
2. Conversations and Status updates are ways to prove the case againist you too, especially if you say "I am doing great today" the day after your accident.

Social Networks are amazing tools to keep connected to friends and family, but nothing is safe on the internet. When going through traumatic experiences we all naturally need the comfort of our friends and family, so pick up your phone or go spend time with them to help lift your spirits.
