    • Project "Roadcheck" Ran From June 7 through June 9

    According to the Culpeper Star Exponent, since it's inception in 1988, more than a millon trucks and buses have been inspected during Roadcheck. An unannounced truck and bus checking detail was conducted in Culpeper during the three day period. In addition, Culpeper will conduct roving safety check patrols. We want to ensure that heavy trucks operating on town streets are doing so in compliance with federal and state regulations," said Culpeper Police Chief Chris Jenkins. "Commerical vehicles are the backbone of a healthy economy, and we want those vehicles that deliver goods to our stores and manufacturers to arrive safely," said Chief Jenkins.
