Charges Upgraded to Involuntary Manslaughter in Columbia Pike Crash

Ahmed Ehsan, 54, a resident of Falls Church, was pronounced dead at Inova Fairfax just before 7:30am on June 21.

Police say the crash occurred when a 44-year-old, Maryland man operating a minivan, Jose Ernesto Tejada Hinojosa, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Columbia Pike. Ehsan was operating a Honda eastbound. The vehicles hit head-on. Ehsan was transported to Invoa Fairfax Hospital. Hinojosa was not injured. He was charged with DWI, and is now also being charged with involuntary manslaughter.
