Bus Riders Hospitalized After Hampton Roads Transit Crash

Posted on Nov 03, 2010

Passengers were hospitalized after a Hampton Roads Transit bus crashed. It was the third time a bud crashed in two months.

The Norfolk motor vehicle accident occurred on Wednesday, November 3. The driver of a black Dodge Charger was attempting to make a left turn on Virginia Beach Boulevard when it hit an oncoming bus at the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Church Street.  The bus sustained only minor damage, but two passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Local residents say that the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Church Street is a dangerous intersection.
The truck driver was not at fault. The driver of the Dodge Charger was issued a summons for failing to yield the right of way.
