Chesapeake Bus Driver Causes Major Accident

Yesterday morning a 32-year-old bus driver, Amanda Wylie, was charged with reckless driving after turning left in front of a car causing that car to hit another car and another bus. The accident happened at the intersection of Cedar Road and Country Club Boulevard. The other bus involved in the accident was heading to Great Bridge Middle School with 46 students on board none of which were hurt. The 17-year-old driver who swerved to miss the bus was taken to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. When school bus drivers in Chesapeake are involved in an accident they must submit to a drug and alcohol test, which Ms. Wylie passed.
