Chesapeake, Virginia | Crossing Guard Hit by Truck Has Died

The crossing guard was in the middle of the road directing traffic. She was wearing a reflecting vest.
Police said the woman driving the Toyota Tundra may have been distracted by the sun.
The crossing guard was transported to Norfolk General Hospital, where she later died, according to police spokeswoman Kelly O'Sullivan.
The accident is currently under investigation.
O'Sullivan did not release the victim's name but did confirm that she worked for the Chesapeake Police Department.
