Chester, Virginia | Motorcyclist Dies - Following Sept. 12 Crash

Lawrence W. Slater, 36, of the 12300 block Branner Place in Chester, was leaving a parking lot on West Hundred Road when he lost control of his motorcycle at about 8:15 p.m. The motorcycle struck the concrete curbing of a median, causing the motorcycle to flip several times. Slater was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, where he died Sept. 15.
