Reported by GoDanRiver.com; A beach chair and towels, a baby stroller, a star-covered backpack and Mardi Gras beads were only some of the items that littered northbound U.S. 29 following a two vehicle accident that injured seven Sunday night. The driver of a southbound Honda lost control near the ramp from River Park Drive and traveled across the highway, striking a northbound Ford Taurus before ending up over a guardrail, with pieces of the vehicle laying across the guardrail and draped from a tree.Two of the four passengers in the Honda were ejected from the vehicle, one adult and one child, according to Danville Police and were transported from the scene by helicopter. One passenger was picked up right on U.S. 29, while another was transported by ambulance to another helicopter. The other two passengers in the Honda, and all three passengeers in the Ford, two adults and one child, were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Police said the identities of the victime in both cases, and even what hospitals they were taken to was not immediately known.
