The crash occurred on Arlington Boulevard near the intersection of Patrick Henry Drive in the Falls Church area. Harry E. Emlet, Jr. 83, of the 3300 block of S. Jefferson Street was making a left turn on the green light onto a service road in front of the shopping center. His wife, Elinor K. Emlet, 85 was a passenger in their 1993 Nissan Sentra. Their vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a pick-up truck traveling westbound on Arlington Boulevard. Both drivers and the passenger were transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where the couple was pronounced dead.
