Fluvanna, Va. | Man Pleads Guilty to Werck that Injured a Family

Kevin L. Barnard, 36, pleaded guilty in Albemarle County Circuit Court to two counts of maiming another while driving under the influence and DUI, according to court records.
Barnard was arrested after causing a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Richmond and Rolkin roads on Dec. 22.
Witnesses told police that Barnard didn’t stop while approaching a line of four cars waiting at the right light.
A Fluvanna County family is still recovering from injuries they received in the wreck, said Jon R. Zug, assistant commonwealth’s attorney.
Barnard, who will be sentenced in February, could face up to 11 years in prison, Zug said.
