Labor Day | Police say 'Drive sober or get pulled over' - Delmarva

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office will be conducting DUI saturation patrols during Labor Day weekend as a part of the 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' initiative.

WCSO joins nearly 10,000 other law enforcement agencies nationwide in support of this intensive crackdown on impaired driving organized by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

According to NHTSA, nearly a third of fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes involved a driver or motorcycle rider with a blood alcohol content above the legal limit. The age group with the highest percentage of alcohol impaired driving fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes is 21-24.
