Reported by newsadvance.com; Two young adults died in a head-on collision on U.S. 60 in Prince Edward County just before 3am Sunday.  Virginia State Police investigators have not yet released the identities of the victims. A Rustburg man has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the crash.

The two Altavista teenagers who died in an accident Saturday night were not wearing seat belts.The 16-year-old driver in that crash on Virginia 43 near Altavista has been charged with driving under the influence in the collision that killed his two passengers.

Statewide, 13 people died in 11 crashes from Friday through Monday, compared to six during the same period last year. At least four of the 11 crashes involved alcohol, and at least five victims were not wearing seat belts.
