Madison Heights, Virginia - Fatal Motorcycle Wreck

A motorcyclist died Monday morning in a collision with a vehicle on Seminole Drive in Madison Heights, state police said.

Zachary W. Robertson, 24, of Madison Heights, was killed after his 2007 Suzuki sport bike collided with another car, according to a Virginia State Police news release.

The crash happened just west of Triple Oak Circle at about 11:15 a.m. Monday.

Robertson’s motorcycle and a 1997 Plymouth Neon were both traveling east on Seminole Drive when the Neon slowed to turn right, the news release said. Robertson hit the brakes, lost control and turned the motorcycle on its side, skidding into a 1994 Chevy Cavalier heading west on Seminole Drive.

Robertson died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
