Newport News Accident Tragically Kills Pedestrian | VA Wrongful Death

A Newport News car accident tragically killed a pedestrian from Williamsburg Saturday, May 29, according to the Hampton Roads news source.  Thirty-four-year-old Stephen James Shonka was reportedly walking from the north side of J. Clyde Morris Blvd. to its south side Saturday evening when an eastbound siver Acura struck him, say officials.  After the tragic Newport News pedestrian accident, Shonka was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.  Although the driver of the Acura was not hurt, a passenger in the car sustained minor cuts in the fatal crash and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
