On Sunday night a man was hit by a car as he was crossing Huntington Avenue in Newport News, according to the Virginian Pilot. The man was taken to the hosptial for severe injuries. The police are trying to find the man's family, but no luck yet. The driver of the car, a citizen from Hampton, after fleeing from the scene called the police and identified himself as the driver who hit the man. There are charges pending against the driver who hit the pedestrian.
