Norfolk Crash Involving Tractor Trailer & Expedition Kills One on I-64

A Norfolk truck accident involving a Ford Expedition and a tractor-trailer turned tragic this morning when one driver was killed, according to the WTKR news source.  The I-64 crash occurred near Tidewater Dr. when the 1999 Expedition attempted to merge onto the interstate and collided with a tractor-trailer.  Suffolk resident Rodney Quintel Drayton, 45, was reportedly traveling at a "high rate of speed" when he entered I-64, and he was ejected from his Expedition when it slammed into the side of the tractor-trailer, causing the truck to run over the front end of his vehicle.  Investigators reported that speed and weather conditions were both factors in the tragic Norfolk accident.
