Norfolk, Va. | Man Hit by Train Dies

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene at 3:22 a.m., according to police.

The body was taken to the medical examiner's office. Police have identified the man, but were trying to contract his relatives, before releasing his name. 

A police spokeswoman said that investigators are treating the case as an undetermined death, although his injuries were consistent with an accident involving contact with a train.

Norfolk Southern also in investigating the incident, according to police.
