Portsmouth, Virginia|Motorcyclist|Fatality After Crashing into Downtown Tunnel

A motorcyclist was killed when he lost control of his bike inside the Downtown Tunnel around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
The 23-year-old man was riding with other bikers on I-264 West when he lost control, struck the jersey wall and the walkway pole inside the tube.
Police say he died on impact.
The 2007 Suzuki motorcycle continued down the interstate and caught fire, said Va. State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
The westbound tube was closed for about four hours.
The investigation into the crash continues; the victim's name hasn't been released.
