Reported by the Winchester Star; A 20-year-old is dead after the car in which he was riding veered off the road, flipped and struck a parked car in Frederick County.  Adam Cole Swiridow of Stephens City died at the scene of the crash of undisclosed injuries, according to the Virginia State Police.

The driver, 18-year-old Hannah Marie Davies of Stephens City, has been charged with DUI. Davies was driving west in the 100 block of Lakeside Dr. when she went off the left side of the road and into a ditch.  The vehicle then struck a bush, overturned and collided with a tree before hitting a parked Volvo.

Police say both alcohol and excessive speed are considered factors in the crash, which is being investigated.  There were no other passengers in the car.
