The car was stopped for a traffic violation on the 15-hundred block of Holland Road this morning. The car did stop but as the officer was getting out of his car the toyota sped off. There was a brief chase but the Toyota didn't get far. It ended up crashing into a guardrail and hitting a tree. All three people inside were trapped.

The driver Cornell Richardson was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition. Officers say he had an outstanding felony warrant. The passenger Keisha Thornhill of Franklin died at the scene. The third passenger is at the hospital with serious injuries. Reported by WVEC.com
