Just before 2 p.m. on Thursday, June, 9, a woman driving a Lexus was making a turn from the off-ramp of Interstate 564, onto East Little Creek Road. At some point during her attempt to turn, she hit a Norfolk school bus and a Nissan Sentra, which were both traveling west.
There were no students or passengers on the bus and the woman operating the Lexus died at the scene. A passenger in the Nissan was also transported to the hospital but is expected to recover. Police said that both the east and westbound lanes of the 200 block of Little Creek Road were closed. The lanes were reopened as of Thursday evening.
