When Pit Bulls Attack

Pit Bulls Attack 7-Year-Old In NC

Pit bulls attack again?! A seven year old boy was attacked in Charlotte, N.C. by three pit bulls as he was walking home from his school bus stop on Friday, September 3, 2016. As a result, he is hospitalized at the Levine Children’s Hospital. Noah Bertrand was walking home from his bus stop with his mom in Madison Park. During his walk, the three pit bulls appeared suddenly. The boys parents said that their neighbors’ quick responses saved their son’s life.

A neighbor said that she heard screaming and ran to her door to look. She could only see the rear ends of the three pit bulls on the child. Another neighbor said that she looked out her door in the pouring rain to see the three large pit bulls attacking the boy. She said it was like something out of a horror movie. The mother was trying to pull the dogs off of her child and another neighbor was screaming and hitting the dogs with a broom.

The mother said the dogs didn’t even growl or do anything. Most noteworthy, they gave no indications of the upcoming attack. The pit bulls just walked up and attacked the child without any warning. During the attack, the mother tried to cover the boy. At the same time, the neighbors tried to fight the dogs off. In retrospect, the family appreciates the help and love from all the neighbors and is grateful that the injuries were not more severe. The neighbors stated that the dogs were taken by animal control. It is unknown if charges will be filed against the owner.
